Linda,1. For Week 1, did you go to http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/survey-intro.zgi?p=WEB227HARGRCM7 to submit your information. That is how MLA is tracking everybody weekly to make sure you complete the course. 2. For Week 2: You must post a link to your blog and your wiki. Below are the steps to do it: Go to the class wiki http://mlawikiclass.wetpaint.com/. Join the wiki. Click on the MLA Web 2.0 101 Blogs List page http://mlawikiclass.wetpaint.com/page/MLA+Web+2.0+101+Blogs Click the EasyEdit button to edit the page. Type in the name of your blog. To make your blog name linkable, use your mouse to highlight the name of your blog. Then click “Link” in the EasyEdit toolbar and paste the URL into the box that says “Link to.” Then click “Add link.” Click “Save” on the EasyEdit toolbar to save your work. To list the wiki you created go to the MLA Web 2.0 101 Wikis List page http://mlawikiclass.wetpaint.com/page/MLA+Web+2.0+101+Wikis And repeat the same procedure you did for listing your blog. I too posted my blog last week (used Blogger) but do not see it in this line up. I did use the zoomarang survey tool last week. Am huffing and puffing to complete this by the end of the week - we are on holiday beginning tomorrow!

Linda,You only need to submit the blog entry you posted for Step 7. You Do Not need to submit your wiki and your blog to the zoomerang link. Step 7: What is the difference between a blog and a wiki? What sor of things might be better suited for a blog and better suited for a wiki? Write a brief response on your blog. Submit the link to your blog post to the instructors using the form. http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB227HARGRCM7 Do you find this valuable? |

Thanks, Michelle, I looked at your instructions again on the weekend and I'm now listed. I do have another question. Is there any way to check to make sure that each lesson has been tracked? I received the message that I had tracked successfully but wondered whether there is a place to double check that our tracking forms are received--thanks.

I've been having problems posting my wiki on the MLA Web 2.0 101 Wikis List page. I didn't have any problems posting my blog...which is pretty much the same process. I think it's a bug in the software which I'm thinking of reporting. When I go through the process and click on the link, it takes me back to the list of wikis page. I can tell that others had the same problem, or similar problems as i click on their links. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't think there is away to check if you have successfully submitted your tracking information. The only thing that will tell you that it went through ok, is that it will tell you that you were successfull. So if you don't remember doing that for week one you might just resubmit that for week 1.

It looks as if you are right. I did a test post and for some reason after I have saved everything it keeps over writing my URL. Frustrating. I appologize for the confusion and inconvenience for anybody trying to post their links. I will try and contact somebody too. Perhaps between the two of us we can get an answer. Unfortunately no fix right as of yet. I think it may be happening with this specific wiki and not the rest of the wikis because I haven't heard from others where this is happening on their personal wikis. It seems to be a bug within the class wiki.
